City Gears Up for 'I Love Burnsville' 5K Race

Burnsville never "runs" out of love.

The city is hosting a 5K race as part of the annual South of the River Recreators' Ground Pounders Grand Prix Running Race during "I Love Burnsville Week."

Southbound 35W Reopens in Burnsville

Southbound 35W is open again Sunday in Burnsville after closing overnight Saturday between County Road 42 and the I-35 split.

Northbound lanes will remain closed until Monday morning.

Southbound 35-E closed in the same area Friday night. Those lanes will remain closed until June 2 as crews work on the bridge.

Burnsville Police Investigate Stabbing, 5 Taken into Custody

The Burnsville Police Department is investigating a stabbing Sunday.

According to Burnsville Police, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a home in the 200 block of Burnsville Circle in the Sunny Acres manufactured home community.

The report came in at 9:27 a.m. Sunday.

A major construction project has shut down part of the state's main north-south interstate in Burnsville.
